Make advertising revenue metrics easier to compare

Work through CPM, eCPM, page RPM, CTR and revenue-share calculations using your own figures. ADXScore explains the units and formulas so you can compare like-for-like reports. Revenue projections are estimates based on your assumptions.

Pick the metric that answers your question

  1. Compare cost per thousand impressions

Use CPM for cost and impression calculations. Use eCPM when working from realized advertising revenue.

  2. Calculate revenue per thousand page views

Use page views as the denominator. A page can have multiple ad impressions, so page RPM differs from impression-based eCPM.

  3. Explore an ad-revenue scenario

Enter impression opportunities, assumed CPM and fill rate. Change the assumptions to understand how the estimate responds.

Questions about ADXScore

What is the difference between CPM, eCPM and page RPM?

CPM expresses cost per thousand impressions; eCPM expresses revenue per thousand ad impressions in these tools. Page RPM uses page views. Match the amount and denominator to your report.

Will these calculators predict my future AdSense earnings?

No. They calculate supplied figures or scenarios. Auction prices, traffic, demand and deductions can differ from your assumptions.

AdX Readiness Checker

Checks HTTPS, homepage text, recognizable policy links, ads.txt and indexing directives. A fetched link is evidence of a link, not a review of its contents.

AdSense Website Readiness

This advisory review cannot inspect your AdSense account, verify content rights or determine approval. Review Google policies manually.

Ads.txt Live Checker

Retrieves the root /ads.txt over HTTPS. Syntax does not prove seller authorization. Network failures and missing files are reported separately.

Ads.txt Syntax Validator

Paste plain text to check three required seller fields, the optional certification ID and supported ads.txt 1.1 directives. Runs locally.

Ads.txt Generator

Use the advertising-system domain and seller account ID supplied by your monetization provider. We never generate or verify real seller IDs.

App-ads.txt Checker

Fetches /app-ads.txt from the supplied developer domain. App-store developer website links, ownership and package identity need separate verification.

Sellers.json Checker

Checks a domain’s root /sellers.json, or pasted JSON. Confidential entries may legitimately omit name and domain; confidentiality alone is not evidence of fraud. Files over 2 MB are explicitly refused by live scans.

SupplyChain Validator

Supports SupplyChain 1.0 objects and common bid-request wrappers. Validates ver, complete, nodes, asi, sid and hp. Structure alone cannot prove supply-chain authenticity.

Static heuristic inspection of pasted Google Publisher Tag code. The code is never executed. Dynamic paths, comments and variable-based sizes may need manual review.

CPM = advertising cost ÷ impressions × 1,000. Choose a currency shared by all money inputs. Reverse calculations solve cost or impressions.

eCPM Calculator

eCPM = revenue ÷ impressions × 1,000. Uses realized revenue rather than a guaranteed auction price. Reverse calculations are supported.

Page RPM Calculator

Page RPM = estimated earnings ÷ page views × 1,000. Page views and ad impressions are different denominators; this tool calculates Page RPM only.

CTR Calculator

CTR = clicks ÷ impressions × 100. Use matching reporting periods and scope. This calculator requires clicks not to exceed impressions.

Fill Rate Calculator

Default definition: filled ad requests ÷ total ad requests × 100. Platforms may define fill differently; use matching request metrics, not impressions as a substitute.

Good questions. Straight answers.

Can ADXScore approve my website for AdX or AdSense?

No. Google or the applicable authorized process decides approval. ADXScore offers independent technical checks and manual-review guidance.

Why do live checks need a backend?

Browsers restrict many cross-origin website requests. A configured scanning backend retrieves permitted public files safely. Without it, live tools show “Live Scan Not Configured”; local tools remain usable.

Does a valid ads.txt file prove seller authorization?

No. Valid formatting only establishes that a file follows supported syntax. Confirm the account ID and commercial relationship with the advertising provider.

Are revenue projections guaranteed?

No. They are calculations from your assumptions. Actual demand, geography, viewability, consent, invalid traffic deductions and reporting definitions affect outcomes.

Can these tools rank in Google or appear in AI answers?

Useful original content and sound technical SEO support discovery, but rankings, indexing and AI recommendations are never guaranteed. Separate tool pages can be developed later with their own unique explanations and functionality.

CPM Calculator: Cost, Impressions & Budget

How do I calculate CPM from cost and impressions?

Divide advertising cost by impressions and multiply by 1,000. The CPM calculator can also solve for total cost or impressions when the other two values are known. Keep all monetary inputs in the same currency.

The interactive tool is loading below. If it does not appear, enable JavaScript or open the tool from the directory.

When to use this tool

Use CPM to compare cost per thousand ad impressions. Use CPC when the comparison is based on clicks, and page RPM when the denominator is page views. These metrics answer different questions even when a report shows them together.

How to use this calculator

  1. Select whether to calculate CPM, total amount or impressions.
  2. Choose a currency and enter the two known values for the same reporting scope.
  3. Run the calculation and compare the result with the worked formula below.

Worked calculation

With $500 in advertising cost and 100,000 impressions, CPM is 500 ÷ 100,000 × 1,000 = $5. At a $5 CPM, 250,000 impressions correspond to $1,250 before any adjustments outside the calculation.

How to interpret the result

CPM expresses an amount per thousand impressions. A campaign’s purchased CPM and a publisher’s realized eCPM can differ because they refer to different amounts, deductions and reporting scopes. Keep currency, date range and impression definitions consistent when comparing reports.

What this tool cannot establish

This arithmetic does not predict auction prices, guarantee earnings or convert currencies. Use a positive denominator and do not mix page views with ad impressions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I calculate impressions from a known CPM?

Yes. Select Calculate volume and supply the amount and CPM.

Is CPC interchangeable with CPM?

No. CPC uses clicks as the denominator; CPM uses impressions.
